Intraoral Senser Design Project
SH2J collaborated with Vieworks on a design project for an intraoral sensor.
An intraoral sensor is a device used in digital dental imaging systems. It is placed inside the patient’s mouth to detect X-rays and convert them into digital images.
Unlike periapical or panoramic X-rays, intraoral sensors are used for highly detailed examinations of specific teeth or areas. The sensor features a compact and slim design, allowing for easy insertion into the oral cavity. It is available in various sizes to suit different patients.
The CI provides high-resolution images, enabling accurate diagnosis of fine tooth structures, cavities, and periodontal conditions. Additionally, it requires only a low dose of radiation, ensuring safety for both patients and medical professionals.
The final product, named CI was launched globally in 2025 and has since received positive feedback from users around the world.
